Why a shampoo bar?

I was skeptical about shampoo bars before we started making these! It can feel odd at first if you’ve used bottles your whole life. But our shampoo bar lathers up properly once your hair is wet- no thin, watery half-foam – and it leaves your hair feeling soft rather than stripped (that’s the almond oil doing its job!). One bar this size has lasted me a couple of months of regular showers.

A solid bar means there’s no plastic bottle to throw out once it’s empty. In the US alone, more than two-thirds of plastic packaging waste ends up in landfill rather than being recycled, and shampoo bottles are exactly the kind of thing that adds up over a lifetime of showers.

We make ours with honey straight from our own hives and almond oil, which is naturally high in vitamin E, so it’s doing a real job for your hair, not just avoiding the bottle.
