Ben’s Bees Organic Beeswax Lip Balm

This is the one I keep in my own jacket pocket through winter, it melts in fast and doesn’t leave that waxy film some balms do. We make it with the same beeswax that goes into the rest of the range, just blended with softer oils so it glides on rather than sitting on top.

Why beeswax for your lips?

Lips don’t have the oil glands or thick outer layer the rest of your skin has, so they dry out and chap far more easily, and that’s exactly the kind of thing beeswax is good at fixing.

A 2023 review of beeswax in skincare found it works as both an occlusive, holding moisture in, and an emollient, softening the skin, at the same time, which is unusual for a single natural ingredient. We use the same wax that goes into our candles and the rest of the skincare range, filtered from our own hives, so there’s nothing synthetic standing between the beeswax and your lips.
